About the server
The targetblue server is solid state and fanless. It has no moving parts to wear our and go wrong. We have chosen the very best hardware for reliability and performance. The standalone chassis design is no larger than a Nintendo Wii and comes supplied with a 12v mains transformer. The long range bluetooth transmitter is self powered via the USB port and connected to the main unit with a standard USB cable, enabling you to mount the transmitter in a suitable position to maximise your catchment range using a simple extension cable.
The server is designed to be completely controlled through the internet. Connecting the server to the internet can't be any easier, a standard ethernet socket is on the rear panel which will connect to your existing network via DHCP, or you could use the built in wifi facility (on-site configuration required for password enabled hotspots) GPRS connection is also available if an internet connection is not possible. Once installed the server is designed to 'just work' If the internet connection is lost momentarily, the server will carry on serving your message and logging the statistics until the internet connection is available again and then syncronise back with the website.
